The International Real-Time Ada Workshops have been
a source of suggestions for improvements to Ada. The Workshop at Oporto
suggested a number of further scheduling algorithms
[12].
Most of these such as Round Robin and EDF have been included in Ada 2005.
But that for application defined scheduling (
AI-358)
was not.
The reason is perhaps that it was felt desirable
to see how those that had been included worked out before adding yet
more burden for implementers.
